RISK AWARENESS

Risk Awareness is a fundamental safety course designed for personnel working in industrial atmosphere, at sea and in offshore oil & gas environments. The training provides individuals with the knowledge to identify hazards, understand risk levels in their work activities and apply simple methods to reduce or eliminate those risks. The course covers practical examples of common offshore dangers, human factors, safe behaviours, and effective use of risk assessment tools such as Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Toolbox Talks. By increasing awareness and improving decision-making, the course helps build a strong safety culture and prevents accidents in high-risk marine and offshore operations.

Risk Awareness - Training for Industrial, Marine and Offshore Workers

Our Risk Awareness course is designed to improve safety awareness for individuals working in high‐risk environments such as industrial facilities, port operations, ships and offshore oil and gas installations. The training helps participants identify hazards, recognise unsafe conditions and understand how to take proactive action before incidents and accidents occur.

The course covers fundamental risk concepts including hazard identification, job safety analysis, near‐miss reporting, barrier models and safety observation techniques. Participants learn how to interpret risk matrices, assess likelihood and severity, and apply basic risk control measures across different workplace scenarios. Case studies from factories, marine operations and offshore installations are used to explain how small unsafe acts can lead to serious consequences if ignored.

Special focus is placed on safe behaviour, situational awareness and communication during routine and non‐routine operations. The course also introduces permit‐to‐work systems, toolbox talks, and stop‐work authority, empowering personnel to intervene when something does not look right.

This Risk Awareness training is ideal for all levels of operational staff, from technicians and deck crew to supervisors and new joiners entering hazardous working environments. By building a strong safety mindset and improving hazard perception skills, the course helps to prevent accidents and promote a positive safety culture across industrial and offshore workplaces.
