Struck by Hazard

The Struck-by-Hazard study seeks to achieve two primary learning objectives: first, to identify workplace situations and practices that frequently result in injuries and accidents, and second, to propose recommendations for preventing these hazards and reducing their impact. Participants will develop the capacity to recognize scenarios in which persons may encounter leaks, as well as precautionary measures that should be done to limit such instances.

Course overview

The Struck-By Hazard course seeks to achieve two main goals: identifying workplace factors and practices that raise the risk of struck-by incidents, and learning the recommendations for avoiding them.

Struck-by occurrences, a major source of mortality in construction, also cause serious injuries, yet they are completely avoidable. These accidents include people being struck by moving things like as falling hammers, grinder debris, collisions with reversing lorries, or being hit by hoisted wallboard. Workers can effectively recognize and manage these dangers if they are educated and follow safety measures.
