This course will give an insight into how staff can be taught to supervise safe work, risk assess and permit operate in hazardous industries to ensure the safety and compliance of staff operating in the same environment, such as oil and gas.

Requirements
  • Basic Education: Minimum literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Work Experience: Relevant industry or operational experience.
  • Prerequisite Training: Completion of Control of Work basics or equivalent.
  • Employer Authorization: Nomination by your organization.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safety practices and procedures.
  • Site-Specific Induction: Further site-specific training is the Duty Holder's responsibility (see Appendix 2 for details).

  • 12. Identify and explain typical steps in planning and preparing for the work activities
  • 13. Handover, work suspension and completion & methods to ensure effective handovers
